Buddys – Community Hub
Buddys is a community coffee shop that aims to create a warm and welcoming environment where everyone feels included.
Buddys is a hub of activity, open to all, with people visiting for social activities, information and advice or to just to enjoy the space.
We have cohorts of students learning work and life skills from the kitchen in Buddys who would be happy to serve you from our full and varied menu.
Socialising
It is important that people with a learning disability and/ or autism have the opportunity to socialise, preventing isolation and improving mental and physical wellbeing. Our activities help the people we support to build confidence, make and maintain friendships, gain independence, have fun, develop new interests and get involved in the local community.
Information & Advice
Our aim is to help people with a learning disability and/ or autism to live as independently as possible. It is therefore important that they have access to information, advice and guidance to support this.
Sport & Leisure
It is important for people with a learning disability and autism to be physically active, just the same as everyone else. Sports and leisure activities bring a mix of health and wellbeing benefits to all of us. We also feel it is important that people we support have equal access to sport, exercise and leisure activities and facilities in the community.
